stuff and fluff and hufflepuff

Darya, 24. I reblog things that please my sense of beauty)

I’m sorry if i mash photos of people from different clans together, i’m just a foreigner..

When i was little, my grandpa used to read “The song of Hiawatha” in voices for me. I fell in love with the native Americans and their legends, music, language, traditions. Also I used to watch “Dr. Quinn, medicine woman” - the show, which may be not very accurate, but vividly shows the struggle for freedom and survival of the tribes and clans. Later “The Last of the Mohicans” and other books came to me…they didn’t give full info, but i,the person from another side of the Earth, felt your pain.

I feel so ashamed and guilty for everything settlers have done. As a linguist, I mourn for all the languages now dead, and the cultural heritage that died with the words of its people. I was crying while choosing the pictures for this post - these beautiful faces, these sad eyes…

Just kindly let me express my admiration and adoration of your heritage.

And thank you, thank you, thank you ever so much for staying strong and preserving your culture all the ways possible.

*went into the corner to listen to some native american music and cry a bit*
